For growing kids, it is extremely important to draw out their energy in the positive direction and help them build strength along the way. A strong and healthy child who is full of stamina is sure to grow up into a fit teen. Unfortunately, present-day school curriculums do not include numerous physical activities since most classes are held over a learning management system.

Sport is an indispensable element in a school’s curriculum. Because offline classes have started gaining importance in public interest recently due to lower positivity rates, every institution is ready to once again host sports and other activities on a school campus.

Role of ERP

An institution’s ERP has a lot to do with arranging sports activities for students. The ERP full form is enterprise resource management it is the main body that plays a role in the administrative unit of the institution. Every person in the administration has a specific job assigned, and taking care of school activities is also a part of their job. Teachers and students might organize and take active participation but the location and event planning are mostly approved by the administration.

Hence, if some schools are still lagging from arranging sports in the school after some difficult years of the pandemic which has been harsh word physically and mentally for the students, here are some benefits that the institution can consider arranging it;

The health factor

Regular physical activity can help students remain healthy. Students have been an incomplete explanation for so long that exerting themselves on the field might need some effort but the constant practice or upcoming sport can bring their energy levels back on track and affect their health positively. Kids should exercise regularly, and participating in sports is another fun way to remain healthy.

The social factor

Sports activities involve many students who compete against each other, individually or in groups. They need to have some social skills for this, and if they do not and it is their first time in school sports, they can develop some social skills here. Children also build great relationships with their teachers as they train under them and learn different skills simultaneously.

Fitness levels

Being healthy is not enough students need to remain fit. Extremely thin or extremely bad students also face self-esteem problems, body image issues, etc. They can overcome this by remaining fit, they don’t have to be extremely fit but try and maintain their fitness levels. This is possible when they remain active in school activities, not just in the sports ones, but also in other interschool competitions.

Leadership skills

Leadership is a great quality student can have which comes in handy in the future while pursuing a professional career path. This skill is not about leading others only, it is about going forward while taking everyone else with you. To become a leader students have to train hard and try to be the best. Only then will others accept them as a leader. Students who train hard to lead in the tug of war competitions and build their stamina to become rally or March past captains show true leadership skills and their efforts are fruitful. It does not matter if some students have been unable to pursue a role of leadership in this sport as long as they tried their best and learn something from the experience they are doing great!

Emotional fitness

Physical stimulation also improves the feelings of happiness, and our brain releases serotonin and dopamine. Something similar had participated in fun sports activities, the thrill and excitement of it all is enough to guarantee their emotional well-being. Another factor that leads to their improved emotional Wellness is social interactions, with students and teachers and sometimes members of other institutions.

Better academic performance

When students are allowed to indulge in other activities which are not exactly of academic importance yet important to pursue in life, they develop a likeness towards academic concepts too. This is because there is a positive connection between cognitive functions of the brain, memory skills, and participation in sports activities.
