Even though cricket is not as internationally popular as some other sports, the events are still held regularly. Even in 2022, there are multiple large competitions left. In the article, we will overview the most notable events for the online betting cricket community to monitor this year.
England Tour of Australia
Even though the England Tour of Australia has already begun, there are still opportunities available for the online betting cricket community. There are six matches scheduled for the tour, while only three of them have been played at the time of writing. Until 22 November 2022, three more ODI-format matches will be played between the national teams in the best venues Australia has to offer.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup
The second event on the list is quite huge. While all the other events we will cover today are tours that only feature two national teams at once, this competition will surely have a lot more highlights. This international competition has already started and will be going on until the middle of November. It takes place in Australia, and national teams from all around the world are already showing the best performance they can. This is the eighth competition in the series and it will go on until 13 November 2022.
India Tour of New Zealand
The rest of our list won’t perhaps be as interesting to our readers as the India Tour of New Zealand that will start on 18 November 2022 and will take place until 30 November 2022. During these days, the national team will play three ODIs and three T20 games.
Traditionally, all the matches will be held in different stadiums, both showing the Indian national team what New Zealand has to offer and giving local fans from across the country a chance to see their national team compete against India. The list of stadiums scheduled for the tour includes:
- Sky Stadium in Wellington;
- Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui;
- McLean Park in Napier;
- Eden Park in Auckland;
- Seddon Park in Hamilton;
- Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
Afghanistan Tour of Sri Lanka
Continuing the series of international tours, the next event on our list will feature games between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. It is another interesting online betting cricket opportunity, as there will be multiple matches available for wagering. In contrast to the previous tour, there are only three matches of the ODI format scheduled in Sri Lanka. They will all be held in the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele between 25 November 2022 and 30 November 2022.
South Africa tour of Australia
The next tour on our list will feature matches between South Africa and Australia, which will take place in the Land Down Under. The tour starts on 17 December 2022 and will take place until 17 January 2023. Six matches are scheduled for the visit: three games in the Test format and three games in the ODI format, granting enough opportunities for the online betting cricket community. The set of venues for this tour includes five different stadiums:
- The Gabba in Brisbane;
- Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne;
- Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney;
- Bellerive Oval in Hobart;
- Perth Stadium in Perth.
New Zealand tour of Pakistan
The last tour that starts this year features the national team of New Zealand again, however, this time, the athletes will be guests in the stadiums of Pakistan. This tour features the same dates as the previous one, starting on 18 December 2022 and ending on 17 January 2023. There are five matches scheduled for the tour: two games in the Test format and three ODI matches. The tour will only feature two venues: National Stadium in Karachi and Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan.
